During my address last week on Friday, I indicated that I will be sharing my reform agenda with the University community in a week’s time.

ODeL Supports SODL to go virtual

The School of Open & Distance Learning has partnered with ODeL Campus and the Information, Communication and Technology Centre (ICTC) to offer all its programmes fully online. This move opens windows for all qualified and deserving Kenyans and foreign nationals who wish to take any programme in the School, from any part of the world, to enroll and study at their convenience without traveling to the University of Nairobi physically. The School offers the most competitive tuition fee package compared to the market rates 

Virtual Orientation Preparations

ODeL Campus has been preparing for the new students who will be reporting from August 31, 2020. We are excited to be in a position to help new students in achieving their dreams through increasing their knowledge in different fields. As Abigail Adams said, “Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended with diligence"

At ODeL Campus, we serve our students happily as we watch them grow to be what they want to be.

A graduate appreciates the ODeL mode of study.

A student who recently graduated from the School of Open & Distance Learning, ODeL Campus sent her appreciation message to the Director. It read,  'Good morning Prof.Gakuu. my name is Joy Chesang Mati. Thank you so much for the support. To be specific, Odel campus has given me an opportunity to access higher education. I got First class honors and am so happy.'

At ODeL Campus, we are glad to serve our students and help them achieve their dreams. 

ODEL CAMPUS EXAMINATIONS

The School of Open and Distance Learning, Department of Open Learning will conduct online exams for Postgraduate and Undergraduate students pursuing Project Planning and Management from 8th June 2020 until 27th June 2020. Students will access The Online Open Book Examinations on the UON e-class portal.

ODeL Mode of Learning

ODeL Mode of Learning
ODeL Campus was established to facilitate Schools, Faculties and other academic units of the university to offer their programs through Open, Distance and e-Learning modes of delivery. It is therefore important for the learner to be familiar with the concept of Open, Distance and e-Learning. Open Learning is an institutional based mode which is characterised by flexibility.

Open Learning students can study through face-to-face teaching, Distance Learning, e-Learning or blended learning.

The Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) Campus held final PhD Theses Defenses today, Thursday, March 12, 2020. Ms Clare Mwango Onsarigo's thesis examination titled: "Utilization of Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, Institutional Capacity, Culture and Performance of Micro Finance Institutions Funding Entrepreneurial Projects in Kisumu County, Kenya" scheduled at 9:00am rigorously faced the pannel chaired by Prof. Dorothy N. Kyalo, Dean School of Open Distance Learning in the ODeL Campus Boardroom. Other pannelists were Prof. Charles M.  Rambo and Dr.
