Kipyegon Jefferson is a Kenyan born and brought up in Ilmotiook ward, Narok west sub county, Narok county, Kenya. Kipyegon is a professional police officer, employed by the National Police Service Commission with a decade experience. Kipyegon currently specializes in criminal investigations having attended various courses in the national police service to better the skills in the general policing and criminal investigations. A strong believer in building relationships with the society and positive thinking in the work place. Kipyegon regularly motivates and encourages the staff under him to further their studies for the betterment of the police service. Outside work place, Kipyegon enjoys playing volley ball and can also be found watching African movies because he is a true, genuine African.

Project abstract
The purpose of the study was to establish the determinants of successful implementation of community policing initiatives in Masaba North police division in Nyamira county Kenya. The study had five independent variable and a dependent variable namely implementation of community policing. The primary data was collected by use of questionnaires while the secondary data was obtained from print media, books, journals and online repositories. The study used descriptive research design simple stratified simple random sampling method in order to come up with sample size. from a population of 232 community policing team, a sample size of 70 respondents was selected. Data analysis was achieved through descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS Version 21 and Excel sheet. Hypothesis testing was done by use of the Chi-square method while descriptive analysis involved breaking down the data in to frequencies and percentages.
