Abstract:
Monitoring and evaluation practices are a necessary component and an essential part of good project performance. These practices are significant in project management due to a growing demand for measurement and accountability in resource use. The study sought to determine the influence of monitoring and evaluation practices on performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County. The research was guided by the following objectives; to determine how planning influences performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County, to assess how human resource capacity influences performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County, to evaluate how stakeholder engagement influences performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County and to establish how data management influences performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County. The study concluded that planning had the greatest influence on performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County, while stakeholder engagement had the least influence on the performance of adolescent reproductive health projects in Nairobi County.
